Title supplied by cataloguer. Bookseller suggests Italy as provenance. A scribed vellum Breviary leaf. Recto and verso: Latin text written in two columns in Gothic script. Rubrics in red. Eight two-line illuminated initials alternating red and blue with red pen flourishes. Text is very much abbreviated - profound knowledge of liturgy or reference consultation required. Two lines at top of right-hand column are an Antiphon from Matthew 25:34 Venite benedicti patris mei percipitate regnum, quod vobis paratum est ab origine mundi (Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world) Bottom of right column Isaiah 58:7 Frange exurienti panem tuum et egenos vagosque induc in domum tuam ( Is it not to deal Thy bread to the hungry and that Thou bring the poor that are cast out to Thy house?) No passages of the text on verso have been recognised.
