    The Ethic of Love and Marriage in Shakespeare's Early Comedies, Dissertation submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the University of Cambridge, 1967, by Germaine Greer, M.A. 317 pages, plus Appendix (i-vi) comprising 5 figures; and Bibliography (vii-xxxi). Greer's viva (oral examination) for her PhD was in March 1968 and she graduated in June 1968, two weeks after she married Paul du Feu, a builder. A week after her graduation, Greer left du Feu.
