DUNCAN LEARY PAPERS
The Duncan Leary papers is a family archive that contains records about Leary, his father Thomas Garnet Stirling Leary (1879-1954) and his grandfather Duncan Elphinstone McBryde (1854-1920). The papers were described and rehoused by University of Melbourne history student Gretel Evans who maintained the original order of the records. Units 1 – 5 were removed from Box A. Box A contained family history documentation, objects, photographs, receipts and accounts, Units 6 – 8 were removed from Box B which were the contents of the living room cabinet containing family history documents and objects, units 9-11 were removed from Box C, which were the contents of the suitcase ‘D. McBryde’, which contained family history documents and objects, units 12 – 16 were removed from suitcase ‘A.G Leary’ military papers, family papers and objects, Unit 18 removed from Box E, objects were assembled by Ken Wharton, executer for both Leary and Ernst Lanz.
