Ken Tribe (1914-2010) exerted an enormous influence on Australian music, composers and musicians. He died on July 16 this year, aged 96, and in August, Musica Viva Australia hosted a concert to celebrate his extraordinary life. This celebration featured tributes from family, friends and former colleagues, together with performances by Australian artists with whom he was closely associated throughout his life. It honoured the extensive contribution he made to the arts in Australia and for which he had such a love.
