Auctioneer’s plans

Real estate companies auctioning land parcel lots in the late 1800s to middle 1900s created thousands of posters featuring maps of the land for sale including nearby shops, train stations and other attractive amenities. The auction maps can be plain black-and-white posters showing basic information about the upcoming auction with a simple subdivision. Others are highly decorative featuring colourful illustrations and use fancy scripts.
